For Stop Food Waste Day on April 24th, Hilton launched zero-waste menus at four flagship hotels in the UK. The Taste of Zero Waste pilot program shares a special menu that will be available for a limited time, and with it, Hilton aims to reduce the waste it sends to landfill by 50% for 2030. To achieve its goals, Hilton is working with AI-enabled food waste solution Winnow to measure and track food waste.
On the menus, guests can order innovatively crafted items like potato peel risotto and desserts made from buffet scraps.
The zero-waste menus can be found at London Hilton on Park Lane, Hilton Manchester Deansgate, Hilton London Metropole and DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole. Beyond this, additional low-waste menus will be launched at 20 properties across the UK.
